August 23 – Black Ribbon Day

This day 76 years ago Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. A second World War later millions of people were killed. After the war the Soviet Union continued the systematic killing.

August 23 is now the Black Ribbon Day or European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism.

We know more about how many were murdered by the Nazi’s but not exactly how many are (still being) murdered by communists. The Black Book of Communism tries to answer that. If you dare you can read it here.
